Live / Work Space Application

Our live/work tenants are painters, sculptors, dancers, choreographers, musicians, composers, actors, directors, producers, potters, jewellers, designers, calligraphers, woodworkers, weavers, filmmakers, photographers, writers,poets and a variety of other exciting disciplines.

A selection committee of current Artscape tenants regularly reviews applications and recommends artists for tenancy.

Artscape offers both Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) and Market Rent live/work studios. In accordance with the Social Housing Reform Act 2000, all RGI applicants must apply to one centralized list. In Toronto, this list is managed by Housing Connections.

To apply for a Market Rent space, please fill out the form below.

Your application will be reviewed to ensure that you meet our criteria for professional artists, as outlined by the Draft Canadian Artist Code – if those criteria are met, we will email you a letter stating our approval. You must submit an artist statement describing the proposed use of the studio, as well as fill out the simple form below and provide an up-to-date curriculum vitae detailing professional qualifications, exhibition/commission history, education, representation and any other relevant experience.
